What you'll be doing

Assists with physical preparation of patient and physical environment according to the age/needs of the patient/population served. Transports and transfers patients as necessary. Functions as a porter between departments ensuring required medical supplies, information, specimens, and products are delivered in a timely fashion ensures safe care to patients adhering to policies, procedures, and standards of care, within budgetary specifications, including time management, supply management, and accuracy of practice. Demonstrates the ability to take on a leadership role and is proficient in all expectations of the role. Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education, skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff.

What your background should be

Three years current experience required. 3 or more years of experience in an operating room environment. Ability to follow oral and written instructions as well as read and write in English. Demonstrated commitment to the partners-in-caring process by integrating the company culture in all internal and external customer interactions.

Required Schooling / Training

High school diploma or equivalent.
