What you'll be doing

Train in areas of route travel and following directions; as well as instruction in the use of landmarks, cues, maps and compass directions to assist in efficient travel and maintaining orientation. Provide orientation to places of personal importance. Conduct sun lens evaluations to determine proper lenses to achieve optimal vision functioning in indoor and outdoor environments. Prepare individual instruction plans, progress reports and final evaluations. Attend staffing with division of blind services. Perform or assist with any duties or operations, as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules and quality requirements. Maintain safe work area and comply with safety procedures and equipment operating rules, keeping work area in a clean and orderly condition. Participate in any variety of meetings and task force groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, and policies.

What your background should be

Minimum one (1) year experience is preferred. Well-developed organizational and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously; be detail-oriented, and possess time-management skills. Must have a valid Florida driving license, valid insurance, reliable transportation for travel to outlying locations and the ability to be insured under the company vehicle insurance policy.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor or master degree required.
