What you'll be doing
- The Part Time Airport Customer Service Agent position includes the following responsibilities and duties: - Provide passenger assistance at the gate areas and ticket counter by checking baggage. Issuing tickets and assisting seats. - Sell tickets, create and book reservations, process ticket changes. - Help passengers with various check-in procedures, including tagging baggage as well as issuing boarding passes. - Enforce security / safety measures as well as protect sensitive zones. - Ensure FAA, airport and Company regulations are accurately followed. - As required, the Part Time Airport Customer Service Agent will implement standard procedures during irregular, overbooked flights and denied boarding situations. - Facilitate the boarding process f the passenger. - Complete sales reports and log tickets. - Cope with a wide range of the other related duties as assigned.
What your background should be
- The Part Time Airport Customer Service Agent requirements you have to meet: - Enjoy working with the public. - High School Diploma or general education degree. - The candidate for the Part Time Airport Customer Service Agent position must have at least 18 years of age. - Demonstrate exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills. - The individual must be detail oriented and self-motivates, with a cooperative / positive attitude required to effectively function as a member of the company team. - Two or more years of previous customer service experience (or equivalent) with training skills. - Demonstrate basic PC skills as well as ability to easily and quickly catch the functionality and all concepts of the software used in the company. - Strong willingness and ability to perform various repetitive tasks and demonstrate the ability to lift almost 70 lbs. - Ability to work within the fast paced environment while maintaining effective and professional approach to the most stressful situations. - Ability to move / push / pull up to 200 lbs (for instance, more passenger in the wheelchair up and down the jetway). - Ability to obtain jet bridge certification. - Availability to work varies hours, including weekends, nights and holidays. - Ability to operate the jet bridge which is a movable, enclosed connector which extends from the terminal gate of the airport to the airport, one would operate the jetbridge as they would a car.
