What you'll be doing

Providing patient care, based on physical, psychosocial, education, safety and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the guests served in assigned service. Providing for effective and safe guest outcomes through practice, judgment and critical actions. Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues and other members of the health care team regarding patients status and rendered care. Taking self directed or self motivated initiative to do more than is expected or required in the job, acting before being required to by events, improving job performance and creating new opportunities. Participating in interdisciplinary collaboration of patients plan of care from admission to discharge to ensure safe transitioning and continuum of care. Participating in unit performance improvement activities. Responsible for performing PM care on all patients, attending to their needs as well as taking V.S and reporting any abnormalities to the nurse. Performing EKGS blood sugars etc.

What your background should be

Completion of meridian nursing sssistant program preferred. Current certified nursing assistant certification preferred. One year of PCA experience required. Medical surgery experience is a plus. Current nursing student, having completed fundamentals in nursing clinical rotation preferred. Experienced and certified in phlebotomy, EKGs and vital signs is required. Equivalent bedside nursing experience, such as home health aides, military hospital corpsman or medic or emergency medical technician preferred. BLS/CPR certification is required. Ability to be a team player, multi task and good communication skills are imperative.
