What you'll be doing

Provide tier ii helpdesk support, compile payroll data, and process employee changes. Audit the accuracy of payroll information and data and review and resolve payroll issues. Identify pay adjustments and make manual check processes and payroll garnishments. Perform wage calculations and prorating for special payments. Assist with quarterly and year-end processing and reconciliations, as necessary. Participate in the completion of client requested payroll tax and accounting audits. Ensure the accuracy of payroll through balancing and auditing prior to submission and keep apprised of developments in field of expertise to ensure currency.

What your background should be

Minimum 5+ years of experience with payroll administration. Experience with Microsoft office, including Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel-knowledge of federal and multi state tax laws as it relates specifically to payroll and benefits administration. Knowledge of labor laws as it relates specifically to payroll administration-knowledge of short term disability-knowledge of garnishment administration. Ability to be a detail-oriented self-starter that can work independently and in a team-based environment.

Required Schooling / Training

HS diploma or GED.
