What you'll be doing

Supervise the daily workflow of the payroll department. Maintain financial controls and audit trails for all transactions. Develop and implement policies relative to payroll and employment law changes. Create and maintain a payroll services policies and procedures manual. Establish quality controls and audit all payroll information processed to source documents. Prepare monthly reconciliations for approval. Maintain time & attendance solutions at multiple locations. Review and approve funding of payrolls and benefits plans (401K, flexible spending accounts, etc.). Manage outsourced tax, direct deposit and payroll distribution functions. Ensure all payroll transactions are in compliance with internal or external audit requirements. Set up, maintain and interface with agencies regarding wage garnishments.

What your background should be

A minimum 7 years of progressively responsible experience in payroll required, preferably in multi-site or multi-state environments. Knowledge of inpatriates payroll processing. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Cognos reporting. People management skills. Strong customer service orientation. Excellent communication (verbal, written and listening). Bi-lingual English and Spanish preferred.

Required Schooling / Training

High school degree.
