What you'll be doing
- The hiring person is responsible for strategically directing all activities within the HR service. To minimize risk to the company, maintains a thorough understanding of agency regulations and compliance, manages vendor relationship with outside provider. Manages tax operations and assure that services are timely, accurate, and compliant with company and regulatory requirements. Manages day-to-day activities for the tax team and operational activities. Provides prioritization of work assignments and serve as an escalation point for issues. Manages vendor to assure that all SLA are maintained for tax processing (payments, filings, amendments, reporting, notices, etc) are completed with detailed attention to accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. Supports payroll tax activity related to major projects such as mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures partnering with ADP, payroll operations and financial partners. Creates and utilizes metrics (dashboard)to drive performance, identify trends, and develop/implement process improvements, escalating issues and proposed solutions as appropriate.
What your background should be
- 6+ years payroll tax experience (multi FEIN/state/local). 3+ years of payroll experience in a high volume environment. peoplesoft HR/payroll or other similar payroll system is preferred. Strong project management skills. Knowledge of ADP tax service operations and applications (AI Tool, PTI, QTI, TSWS). Strong analytical and technical skills (tax and financial). Financial background a must. Ability to establish and cultivate strong interpersonal relationships both internal and external. Requires extreme attention to details and the ability to follow through and resolve outstanding issues. Ability to multitask and meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment with changing initiatives. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of management. Advanced PC skills, including MS Windows & Office Suite.
