What you'll be doing
- Primarily focuses on deposit growth for branch or market area, which includes the preparation of deposit account documents, the uploading of the account into the banks customer information software or programs and obtaining all necessary legal documentation for the opening of accounts. Provides customers with information about consumer loans, process requests, gather information, review documentation, record proper documents and maintain loan files as described in the companies loan policy. Provides answers to all queries of the customer and communicate all options available to the customer relating to the queries. Responsible for all account maintenance duties. Develops consumer and mortgage loan accounts with meet established lending requirements and provides maximum profitability to the bank with a minimum risk within loan limits assigned by the companies loan policy. Interviews loan applicants, collects and analyzes financial and related data in order to determine the general creditworthiness of the prospect. Determines the merits of the specific loan request through companies loan policy underwriting standards enhanced by direct inspection of the applicant business or collateral. Establishes and negotiates the terms under which credit will be extended, including cost, repayment methods and schedules, collateral; requirements, profitability to the bank and risk assessment and management. Develops new consumer and commercial business by contracting potential customers, asking for referrals from existing customers and visibility to enhance new business opportunities. Takes advantage of every opportunity to cross sell all bank services (loan and deposit), recognizing situations that suggest a need for specific products and taking positive steps to promote such opportunities by explaining the customer benefits of the proposed services. Ensures compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding lending and deposits. Manages customers portfolio and services relationships. Participates in cross-selling or referral program daily in order to maintain and exceed goals set by company. Participates in all departmental meetings which include past due and problem loans. Completes all required reports in an accurate and timely manner. Responsible for teller duties when necessary.
What your background should be
- 3-5 years of banking experience. Computer skills required. Good verbal, written and telephone communication skills.
Required Schooling / Training
- College degree preferred.
