What you'll be doing
- The incumbent will support the operation of the drug utilization review clinical pharmacy staff. This will include outreach calls and faxes, managing day to day processes, analyzing data and organizing and documenting all relevant interaction. Provide support to the medicare part D drug utilization review department whose primary focus is the development and management of clinical program for improving health outcome and identifying overutilization issue. The candidate will be responsible for supporting the clinical programs surrounding medication usage, drug adherence and overutilization. Activities will include providing outreach calls to provider and member, analyzing data and managing medication alert letter and faxes.
What your background should be
- Previous experience communicating with staff, provider and patient about medication data. Relevant experience as a pharmacy technician preferred. Excellent organizational skills. Excellent documentation skills. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of Microsoft Access preferred.
Required Schooling / Training
- High school diploma or GED
