What you'll be doing
- Under established guidelines, Pharmacy Technician will execute general pharmacy technical functions and assists the pharmacist and physicians in updating patient medication lists. Individual will call patients and interact face-to-face in the Emergency Department in order to document current medications and allergies. This position will maintain pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed medications and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt; removing outdated drugs. The successful candidate will help health care providers and patients by greeting them in person and by phone; answering questions and requests; referring inquiries to the pharmacist.
What your background should be
- 1 year of pharmacy technician experience
Required Schooling / Training
- High school diploma/GED
