What you'll be doing
- The incumbent will help pharmacists with the preparation of medications for dispensing to infant, children and adolescent patients and patient care areas. Pharmacy Technician will execute related technical and supportive tasks necessary to provide pharmacy services. It is the function of the Pharmacy Technician to help leadership in efforts to meet and sustain the regulatory compliance efforts of the department and hospital. The person will interpret physician orders, prepare dispensing records, type labels and calculate doses and drug volumes for drug dosages. She/he will prepare batch labels and repackage drugs from stock solutions. This individual will interact with pharmacy and hospital computer systems as necessary to maintain records, generate billing, labels and reports.
What your background should be
- 1 year or retail pharmacy technician experience
Required Schooling / Training
- High school graduate
