What you'll be doing
- In this role, the position holder will verify recordings of patients and customer service representatives to verify eligibility information and accuracy. The incumbent will be chargeable for inputting notes and status appropriately based on eligibility, co-pay information, and company guidelines on intranet. It is the function of the Pharmacy Technician to organize medications for pharmacist to dispense by reading medication orders and prescriptions; preparing labels; calculating quantities; assembling intravenous solutions and other pharmaceutical therapies. To, maintain pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed medications and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt; removing outdated drugs.
What your background should be
- 1-2 years of retail pharmacy experience
Required Schooling / Training
- High school diploma
