What you'll be doing

It is the responsibility of the pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in performing a variety of general technical responsibilities related to the provision of pharmaceutical care to patients. The Pharmacy Technician will monitor inventory levels, stocks shelves, maintain order and cleanliness in assigned areas and maintain all required records. The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for providing training and participates in in servicing departmental employees and students in technical aspects of pharmacy services. The successful candidate will obtain supply, prepare and label drug orders under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. She/he will calculate and compounds aliquot doses. Furthermore, the person will distribute and/or transports medications and cart to appropriate patient care areas in a timely manner and under a pharmacist's supervision.

What your background should be

1 year of hospital pharmacy experience

Required Schooling / Training

High school diploma/GED
