Under the supervision of a pharmacist, Pharmacy Technician will execute routine pharmacy responsibilities involving receiving prescriptions from patients in writing or electronically from physicians. The Pharmacy Technician will prepare prescriptions by counting, pouring, weighing, measuring, and mixing the medication if necessary. It is the responsibility of the Pharmacy Technician to maintain patient profiles, make insurance claim forms, stock, and take inventory of medications. Also the Pharmacy Technician will prepare medications for inpatients in various settings, involving sterile product preparation.
