What you'll be doing
- The principal purpose of the Pharmacy Technician is to process medication orders or prescriptions; pharmaceutical preparations, fill bottles with prescribed tablets and caplets, and type labels for bottles; support pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medication. It is the task of the Pharmacy Technician to arrange and manage prior authorization forms for ADAP, AHF and Positive Healthcare. This individual will operate and utilize appropriate techniques within systems for storage, preparation and dispensing of medicinal agents and follow the healthcare centers policies regarding medication preparation and labeling, controlled substances reconciliation and purchasing of pharmaceuticals and supplies.
What your background should be
- 2-3 years of related experience
Required Schooling / Training
- High school diploma/GED
