What you'll be doing

Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, this position will be responsible for executing supportive clerical and technical functions to support the pharmacist in providing pharmaceutical care. The Pharmacy Technician will deliver medications and IVs to patient care areas. The ideal candidate will present controlled substances to patient care areas, take controlled substance physical inventories and reconcile controlled substance inventory counts. In addition, the Pharmacy Technician will record inpatient orders/prescriptions into the computer and prepare labels for medications to be checked by the pharmacist. She/he will respond telephones when appropriate and with in legal guidelines and handle calls to appropriate personnel.

What your background should be

1 year of experience in hospital pharmacy

Required Schooling / Training

High school diploma
