What you'll be doing

Physician will provide medical services to the patients inclusive of all functions necessary to provide quality medical care in company Family Practice Clinic, Emergency Room, Acute Care, Swing Bed/Rehab and Long Term Care Facility. To stabilize, refer when necessary and/or medieval patients presenting to the clinic or emergency room in need of urgent care regardless of whether the patient falls within the category normally seen by that physician. To participate in the on call schedule as set forth by administration and/or the Medical Director. To complete patient charts according to the usual accepted practices of the medical practice and according to the specific requirements set forth by the Physician contract and medical record criteria requirements. Serve on committees as outlined in the Medical Staff Bylaws or as assigned by the Medical Director or Administrator. To be actively involved in creation and maintenance of facility policies and procedures and Medical Staff Bylaws. Collaborate and work harmoniously with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants. To serve as preceptor for Residents, Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants as assigned by the Medical Director or Administrator. Perform other duties as assigned by the Medical Director or Administrator.

What your background should be

Completion of Accredited residency. Board certification in speciality must be kept current. (If newly graduated from residency, must be obtained within 3 years of completion of residency). Board certification in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Internal Medicine. Unrestricted license to practice in the State of Alaska. Current DEA certificate without restrictions. PALS or NRP, ATLS, or ACLS may be required. Two years of provider experience.

Required Schooling / Training

Graduate of an accredited medical school with a degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO).
