What you'll be doing

Plunging, auguring, snaking and clearing drain lines. Run new PVC, copper and galvanized drain lines. Toilet repairs, water heater repair and installation. Basic underground plumbing work, basic maintenance to include; door and cabinetry repair, drywall repair, painting, and basic flooring. Concrete and ground restoration. Repair and replace lights and ballast. Make connections to water heaters. Trouble shoot and repair switches and receptacle. Source and order parts. Use ladders and lifts objectives: complete work orders, invoice sheets, and quote sheets (when applicable) for every job must complete specific work order as directed by their dispatcher and training. Invoice sheets must contain hours for all technicians assigned to that job. Invoice sheets must contain a list of all materials used on the job and the cost. Quote sheets must contain detailed description of work to be performed and list of all necessary materials, the cost and where they are to be purchased from. Complete time sheet accounting for all jobs and times worked. Every listing on time sheet must have job and id number for the specific call. Call in and out with dispatcher upon arrival and departure at any job site. If dispatcher is unavailable, technician is to employ the 5 minute rule which is: call back every five minutes until they get ahold of the dispatcher.

What your background should be

Able to communicate clearly both written and verbally. 3-5 years of related experience. Valid driving license with clean driving record. Clean criminal history. Must be able to pass a drug screen. Basic understanding of local plumbing codes. Have (or obtain) all necessary tools to perform assignments on a daily basis. Able to receive and follow directions. Ability to fax or e-mail paperwork from home. Must be able to lift up to 150 pounds repetitively. Must be able to climb a ladder. Must be able to work in confined spaces. Must be comfortable working at all heights. Able to work on feet for 10-12 consecutive hours. Work environment: may work day, afternoon, or night shifts. May work weekends when determined necessary by service manager. May be required to work outdoors in various elements including, but not limited to, hot/humid weather, cold and freezing temperatures, snow, and rain.
