What you'll be doing

The client company is currently looking for a porter to clean walls, furniture, equipment, windows and mirrors according to club procedures. The candidate will sweep, mop, scrub and vacuum hallways, stairs and room and office space. Complete daily and weekly custodial checklists as assigned and scheduled. The incunbent will perform special cleaning projects as assigned. Perform assigned tasks during the day. Adhere to all safety rules. Use all janitorial supplies in accordance to product labels and club manuals. Adhere to authorized dress code. Attend all required training sessions and meetings. Report all facility maintenance issues and any member complaints to the janitorial supervisor or service manager. Working knowledge of department policies and procedures.

What your background should be

Required six months of custodial experience. Knowledge of cleaning practices and procedures. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Effectively communicate (verbal and writing skills) in English and Spanish. Duties require standing, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, and using cleaning chemicals. The applicant must be able to use of ladders and tall cleaning utensils. Ability to work independently in the absence of supervision. Duties will require frequent contact with janitorial supervisor, club management and staff and members.

Required Schooling / Training

High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
