What you'll be doing
- The practice registered nurse (PRN) performs direct patient care within the scope of the registered nurse. Performs the primary function of assessing, planning and evaluating the care of all assigned patients. Responsible for meeting the established policies/standards of practice for this facility. Identifies nursing problems as they relate to the individual needs of the patients: plans and carries out individualized patient care. Uses of analytical and decision making skills. Promotes and maintains patient safety standards. Participates in performance improvement activities to assure continuous quality improvement. Maintains cultural and diversity awareness when dealing with patients, visitors, co-workers and all other customers. Promotes a supportive, teamwork-oriented environment. Fulfills departmental responsibilities with the long-range plans, mission, vision, and values of the company.
What your background should be
- This job requires current GA RN license. Basic healthcare provider (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire or promotion. ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire or promotion. Previous ICU/CCU experience preferred.
Required Schooling / Training
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
