What you'll be doing
- Accountable for coordinating the timely and accurate access of patients to the outpatient clinics. Initiates the referral process by gathering accurate and pertinent patient demographic information, requesting physician orders and pertinent medical records. Ensures patients are scheduled appropriately and timely by following proper procedure when making appointments and notifies patients via telephone appointment reminders and scheduling changes. Responsible for verifying insurance benefits for all patients referred for services. Ensures patients are aware of benefit findings and financial responsibility. Obtains letters of medical necessity and prior authorizations both initial and ongoing when required by payer. Responsible for finalizing the registration process and accurately entering all insurance information in the computer system in designated required fields. Explains consent forms, HIPAA privacy standards and patient rights and responsibilities and obtains appropriate signatures on required registration forms as determined by payer regulations. Assists patients at check in or check out by reviewing the payment for charges rendered. Other duties as assigned.

- Candidate should have experience in related field. Multitasking ability must. Good communication skills. Basic computer skills. Advanced knowledge in Microsoft suits.
