What you'll be doing

Give every customer immediate and undivided attention. Surprise and delight the customers with consistent, delicious food. Interview, select, train, evaluate, counsel and terminate team members. Create a labor schedule to leverage productivity within the needs of the department. Conduct scheduled inventories and submit reports. Develop and maintain creative store layout and product merchandising in support of regional and national vision. Achieve required sales, margin, expense and labor targets. Know product availability, preparation, storage and nutritional aspects and ensure product mix meets varied customer dietary needs and requests. Ensure department orders for equipment, supplies and products are timely and accurate. Keep all cases and shelves clean, well-stocked and properly rotated. Maintain accurate retail pricing and signage. Conduct scheduled inventories and submit reports. Communicate company goals and information to team members. Schedule and lead department team meetings; attend store and regional meetings. Follow and comply with established procedures, including weights and measures, health and sanitation and adhere to safe work practices.

What your background should be

At least two or more years of experience leading a team. Previous kitchen, culinary, deli, restaurant, kitchen management, cooking or customer service experience preferred. Able to lead and motivate a diverse group of team members. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members. Excellent merchandising skills and eye for detail. Must be self-motivated and solution-oriented with effective time management skills.
