Prin Software Engineer

What you'll be doing: The individual will serve as the lead software architect in leading a team in the development of software solutions to meet the requirements of the client communications and electronics command in providing worldwide support to the client. The individual will be responsible for translating operational requirements into software requirements. Will be responsible for providing technical direction to design and technical development teams and will be responsible for monitoring progress and productivity through the use of metrics. Will be responsible to provide reports and briefings on software design and development status.

What your background should be: Possess detailed knowledge of modern s/w development processes, to include object oriented development, and use of tools and how to apply them to s/w application program development. Capable of translating operational requirements into detailed s/w requirements. Capable of integrating COTS products into s/w systems architectures. Must have knowledge of distributed systems, and issues regarding database replication and distribution to distributed systems. Must have general understanding of communications protocols. Possess proven written and verbal communications skills.
