What you'll be doing

The Principal Project Manager in engineering will manage capital execution of projects in the business unit in the areas of maintenance, innovation, capability, quality, safety, capacity, facilities, and process improvement. Manage multi-year projects involving 10+ manufacturing facilities; manage a portfolio of highly complex projects (numerous concurrent projects) in multiple plants. Utilize professional project management practices to develop, control, and execute projects. Execute project plans ensuring project scope, timing, and budget goals are met. Lead the development of annual capital and discretionary project lists agreeing to projects, priorities, and timing with BU manufacturing team. Collaborate with quality, environmental, facilities, purchasing, legal, operational excellence, and others to insure appropriate internal checks and warm hand-offs in successful project execution. Work with local municipalities, government agencies, and utilities to obtain permits, get designs approved. Provide additional water, power, or sewer as required. Provide expertise in equipment, machinery operation, water treatment operations, syrup production, etc for the thermal, water, food service and sparkling platforms to ensure operating efficiencies at production sites. Lead and facilitate bid reviews and vendor selection. Support manufacturing facilities during critical or extended downtime occurrences by supplying technical advice, request of internal and external SMEs, and participation in the determination of the root cause. Create equipment specifications and communicate them to manufacturers.

What your background should be

8 to 15 years applicable experience will be considered. The skills of manufacturing, engineering, or maintenance experience in the food and goods industry preferable. Demonstrated management of a portfolio of projects, including responsibility for cost, timing, and delivery of projects is preferable. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and access with experience developing spreadsheet models, relational databases, and presentations is needed. Ability to demonstrate technical expertise in processes or machinery utilized in the food/beverage industry.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor degree in Engineering or related discipline.
