Principal Solutions Architect

What you'll be doing: This position will provide input to the overall North America stores & online strategic direction specifically for the Omni channel experience and real time retailing. The leader must have an excellent working knowledge of current and planned technology initiatives as well as internal and external technology and customer trends. In addition, the incumbent is also maintain strong working relationships with vendors and ensure that receives the fullest value from their product roadmap and fosters a technological platform to enable future upgrades and integrations. Establish, maintain, evangelize, and communicate an ongoing strategic vision for Omni channel experience. Collaborate and influence peer technology groups and business leaders towards a technical vision. Participate in development of strategic planning ensuring linkage to the overall strategic business objectives of the company. Highly interactive role with all levels of management executive to line management. Engagement with VP and director level primarily across the business and technology teams. Oversee responsibilities and performance of project teams. Provide feedback to performance appraisals. Review and approve pay actions for indirect reports.

What your background should be: 12 years of technical experience, including several years in an architecture role or equivalent experience in a related field. 6+ years of overall management experience. Working knowledge of ecommerce, order management systems and point of sale software solutions. Working knowledge of decentralized store environment, store peripheral and mobile HW a plus. Product knowledge with IBM web sphere, sterling OMS and toshiba. TCxGravity is a strong plus. Proficiency presenting to, communicating with, and advising and influencing senior management. Proven track record in effectively leading software development teams. Experience with high volume, high availability implementations of Java enterprise edition and mobile technologies.

Required Schooling / Training: Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Information Systems Management is required. Master degree in Computer Science or related discipline or MBA is a plus.
