What you'll be doing
- Process business development manager needs to establish management level relationships within the customer base and understands customer processes and business model. Maintain accurate assessment of target and opportunity funnel within the customer relationship management system. Provide application knowledge and industry expertise while managing sales activities. Qualify customer opportunities and coordinate the solution design. Obtain management approvals for bid investments. Negotiate contract terms and conditions, pricing, discounts and allowances. Coordinate a technical engagement team for identified opportunities and leads a proposal response. Set and manage internal/external partner expectations. Analyze local market information and provide ongoing local market intelligence, monthly sales activity reports, forecasting and ad-hoc feedback. Additional duties as assigned.
What your background should be
- Candidate must have 5+ years of process industry related experience. Distributed control systems (DCS) experience. Desire to mentor and guide newer sales resources, as well as develop the overall process sales competency.
Required Schooling / Training
- Bachelor degree in engineering or related field
