What you'll be doing
- Develop, evaluate, improve, document and continually analyze manufacturing process. Create flow, visual instructions, standard work, and kanbans in an effort to improve, quality, lead time, labor efficiency and safety. Review engineering documentation to ensure it is complete and provides the appropriate information to develop robust manufacturing and test processes. Review new product production processes with stakeholders and implement their input during creation of production procedures. Collaborate with engineering to assist in the creation of test equipment and processes for both new and legacy products. Manage continuous update of production processes and procedures. Train production floor personnel on new product manufacturing processes and procedures in accordance with the quality manual. Assist in creation of engineering prototypes and test units for internal testing, certification testing, and/or demonstration purposes.
What your background should be
- Minimum 3 years experience. Experience with quality and traceability requirements. Experience in a, iso9000 and/or as9001 environment. Training and/or experience in lean manufacturing preferred.
Required Schooling / Training
- Bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering.
