What you'll be doing

The primary objective of a process server is to serve legal documents issued by the courts to include subpoenas, summons and complaints, small claims, court orders and any other documents issued by circuit, district or probate courts. Service of all legal process issued by the courts of Illinois, or any other court in accordance with applicable statutes and court rules. Maintain proper reports/records relating to service of process. Any other duties as assigned by higher authority.

What your background should be

Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age. Excellent customer service, verbal & written communication skills is a must. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality. Must have and be proficient with computer, printer and scanner and have internet connection. Must possess a valid state of Illinois driver's license. Ability to successfully complete required training.
