What you'll be doing
- Support a product risk manager who will act as point of expertise for product risks, advising business partners, other functional groups, and other risk management groups on operational risk management, control and fiduciary issues, emerging risk trends, product strategy, deals, regulatory issues, risk capital, risk appetite, risk tolerance, and risk priorities. Help oversee systems and end-to-end operational processes to ensure that controls are appropriate and key operational risks are identified, mitigated or remediated, and reported, advising on ways to manage them through enhanced technology, controls, or transparency. Help provide risk expert guidance, advice, and oversight for technology projects and changes in operational processes. Help review root cause analysis of significant operational risk events and determine if appropriate remediation efforts have been identified and implemented. Participate in the RCSA process. Follow up with credit risk management on credit limit approvals and credit risk control issues for IS systems and CRI (Credit Risk Infrastructure). Review new product structures and new business initiative approvals (NBIAs). Help review deals and product variations and assist in structuring complex or non-standard transactions. Provide input and support to product and client risk reviews. Help manage risks resulting from existing or potential market events. Participate in strategic risk projects, providing support and facilitation. Create presentations and reports to support product risk management discussions.
