Production Supervisor

What you'll be doing: Responsible for supervising hourly employees to deliver excellence to the customers and meet assigned deadlines. Facilitate the work plans for department employees to ensure safety, efficient utilization of staffing and machinery, while maintaining positive employee morale. Serve as the product line's prime communicator and lead by example. Pro-actively implement, promote and maintain a safe working environment. Lead, coach, recognize, and motivate shop floor employees to utilize continuous improvement tools to achieve zero safety incidents, increase productivity, reduce internal/external quality defects, and achieve delivery targets. Maintain and improve employee communication through, daily start up meetings, weekly value stream team meetings and individual employee contact. Identify and initiate training needs and where possible conduct training for employee development within the manufacturing department. Inform appropriate personnel on work-in-progress and anticipate potential problems, needs, or adjustments; then execute. Conduct process checks within area of responsibility to monitor performance per standard work and adherence to safe practices, proper procedures, standard methods, and quality specifications. Counsel and follow-up to provide effective employee performance and develop new skills.

What your background should be: Supervisory experience. Experience with CNC programming and metal cutting. Green Belt/Black Belt certification . Experience in a manufacturing setting.

Required Schooling / Training: Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or supply chain management
