What you'll be doing
- Cultivate, develop and enhance care relationships with hospitals, physicians, nursing homes and other community care partners. Develop and implement monthly and quarterly care partner education plans in order to achieve goals set by the organization. Develop long term business relationships resulting in an increased knowledge of hospice and palliative care services. Utilize ethics point to communicate service failures and care partner concerns with clinical services. Actively participate in organizational committees, which enhance the working relationships between departments within organization. Maintain membership in related health care professional organizations for the purposes of networking and professional education.
What your background should be
- Minimum of 2 years sales, marketing, professional relations and education training required. Experience in health care services related field preferred. Knowledge of hospice and medicare or medicaid payer sources preferred. Excellent communications, negotiation and time management skills, including public speaking experience. Demonstrated ability to partner with internal colleagues and external providers to achieve best possible outcome for patients and families. Must be willing to travel throughout the hospice's service area.
Required Schooling / Training
- Bachelor degree.
