What you'll be doing

Coordinates and monitors assigned program activities in order to ensure effective operations and compliance with established standards. Reviews and analyzes data concerning assigned agency programs in order to determine progress and effectiveness, to make recommendations for changes in procedures, guidelines, etc. and to devise methods of accomplishing program objectives. Provides technical assistance and advice to agency personnel and others concerning assigned programs in order to exchange information, resolve problems and to ensure compliance with established policies, procedures and standards. Responds to inquiries from building agency personnel and others in order to provide information concerning resolution of issues. Acts as liaison with various private, local, state and federal. Performs related duties such as attending meetings and conferences, maintaining records and preparing reports. Provides on-the-job training and orientation for employees. Develops and implements procedures and guidelines to accomplish assigned agency program objectives and goals. Reviews reports, memoranda, etc. for completeness, accuracy and content. Evaluates program activities in order to determine progress and effectiveness and to make recommendations concerning changes as needed. Supports the facility manager or regional deputy director as assigned. Sets up change orders, ROF and assists with other financial needs. Trains mechanical contractors on proper protocol for processing all related documents. Coordinates the daily activities with the facility manager, life safety/security and engineering staff to ensure building occupants needs are met.

What your background should be

Applicants must have at least three years of full time, or equivalent part-time, professional, administrative or managerial experience in business administration, business management or public administration the major duties of which involved program management, program administration, program coordination, program planning and/or program analysis. Knowledge of the principles and practices of human resource management including behavioral techniques, planning, forecasting, organizational development, etc , preferred. Knowledge of work simplification methods, preferred. Knowledge of the methods used in the preparation of charts, graphs and tables , preferred. Ability to understand, explain and apply the laws, rules, regulations, policies, procedures, etc. governing assigned unit activities, preferred.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor degree with a major in business administration, business management or public administration.
