What you'll be doing

Create/review project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding requirements, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements and available resources. Establish work plan and staffing for each phase of project and arrange for assignment of project personnel. Formulate and define technical scope and objectives of project. Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks. Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progress on schedule and within budget. Review status reports from project personnel and modify schedules or plans as required. Develop and maintain a productive working relationship with project sponsors, vendors and key clients. Ensure relevant IT and AAMC policies and procedures are followed (including change and release management). Business analysis, process documentation, and other analysis activities. On projects and independently as assigned, perform analytical work to understand and document some process or issue and assist with the development of a solution. Assist with the development, coordination, and monitoring of unit-level delivery and high-level project schedules for enterprise information as a whole.

What your background should be

Requires project management training or demonstrated experience, and 3-5 years of relevant experience including IT project coordination. Some prior experience supporting data warehouse, data management, or business intelligence projects. Requires project management and planning experience (PMP certification a plus); excellent communication skills; understanding of data warehouse, business intelligence, and software development concepts; excellent interpersonal skills; and analytical skills including graphical modeling such as process flows.
