What you'll be doing

Overall investment, benefit and risk optimization. Active portfolio performance monitoring. Business environment change adaptation. Information exchange and linkage to associated operational portfolios (asset, application, etc.). Conducting project health checks as appropriate. Risk management reviews project and portfolio metric reporting and tools. Maintain PPM software tool as required. Oversee project and program initiation and close-out processes in the system of record. Provide quality assurance (QA) for the project reporting dashboard project portfolio management (PPM) system administration. Maintain user interface components including homepages, screen views and other configurations. Create custom views for IT senior leadership and manager analysis. Assist with the software development lifecycle associated with all custom reports and system enhancements. Create materials and coordinate training for all new users and existing user classes when new functionality is introduced. Must be the subject matter expert on the entire PPM system utilized by the entire IT department.

What your background should be

8-10 years of leadership and project or program management experience as well as experience training and coaching others on project management techniques. 5+ years of experience managing large company investment portfolios and project management organizations (PMOs). Demonstrated capability leading complex transformational organizational changes. Demonstrated capability to manage large, multi-phase / multi-year projects or programs, leading these projects to successful implementation and life cycle. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization including the ability to produce executive-ready reports and presentations to succinctly communicate critical ideas and relevant metrics. Demonstrated analysis and problem solving skills using innovative thinking. Demonstrated capability to introduce and sustain project management tools, methodologies and frameworks. Demonstrated ability to successfully negotiate with and manage external vendors. Six sigma or continuous improvement experience. Project management professional (PMP) certification.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business administration, or related field. preferred. Advanced degree, MS or MBA.
