What you'll be doing

The successful candidate will be working with a soybean breeding agronomic traits team, with a primary focus in plant pathology. The primary responsibilities will be the production of pathogen inoculums, which is used to identify disease resistant varieties in a field setting. Day to day activities will include use of sterile technique, culturing of plant pathogens, preparing inoculums for shipping to the customer, and meeting delivery deadlines. Additional responsibilities also include assistance in other activities within the controlled environment soybean pathology team.

What your background should be

Experience in sterile technique is a must for this role. Strong critical thinking skills and an attention to detail. Proficiency in excel. The successful candidate will process the ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor degree Biology or a related field.
