What you'll be doing
- The Quality Assurance Technician position covers the following duties and responsibilities: - Complete certificates of analysis and certificates of compliance as required by the clients. - Check and review specifications as required. - Keep in touch with the prior shift (operators, inspectors and packers) in order to find out about any existing and potential changes and problems. - Check and review work orders and schedule. - Perform lab tests as assigned. - Do all the physical tests in order to make sure the product meets the customer demands. - Check equipment calibration. - Perform start-up checks and deliver report deviations directly to the Production Manager. - Perform audits, as directed by the supervisor, of reworked products in order to determine if it complies with the clients requirements. - Check the quality related paperwork for accuracy level as well as work with the appropriate Manager or Machine Operator in order to correct discrepancies. - Provide resolutions for potential quality issues.
What your background should be
- The qualifications and skills required for the Quality Assurance Technician position: - High School Diploma or general education degree required. - PC skills (Word, Excel and Lotus Notes). - Prior quality assurance experiences strongly desired. - Ability to lift up to 40 lbs from time to time. - Ability to simultaneously work on multiple tasks, solid self motivation. - Ability to professionally communicate with people in order to comply with their demands
