What you'll be doing

The hiring company is currently looking for an experienced quality assurance technician. The candidate will be responsible for providing end-user support for client products, answering incoming calls, and requests. This position is responsible for the efficiency of the quality department, promoting total cgmp compliance and consistency. To keep the quality team leader inform at all times of any major quality issues. Primary responsibility is to do in-process rounds on all folders every hour or more often for all folders to verify in-process attributes, first piece approvals for all jobs (even if it has been run, or is running); first piece approvals for launches, collect samples/retains. Ensure consistency in go/no go decisions per the insert qa team leader. Perform other duties as assigned by departmental quality team leader. Manage close out jobs; produce/reconcile labels, cgmp compliance. Manage bindery, offset and insert related calibration program. Manage departmental quarantine process, temperature/humidity monitoring, and pest control.

What your background should be

The applicant should have minimum 1 year of experience as a qa technician in a manufacturing environment. S/he should have strong attention to detail, strong verbal and written communication skills (to pass info to shifts as needed), and exceptional interpersonal, diplomacy and problem solving skills. The incumbent should have the ability to make independent decisions, ability to interpret and enforce customer specifications and gmp compliance; ability to coach and train individuals and ability to assume team leader responsibilities during vacations/absences.
