What you'll be doing

Working with imaging staff to minimize impact of patient throughput while performing required equipment testing compliance. Provide counsel to all hospital staff in matter of radiation exposure. Minimal financial responsibility, mostly related to equipment recommendation and evaluation of value and performance on possible equipment purchase. Ensure staff is are acting appropriately to minimize their own and co workers exposure as low as reasonable. Maintain paperwork and perform appropriate equipment survey to demonstrate compliance with state and accrediting agency standard. Create and environment of personalize service that encourage tech and physician to improve the imaging program as a whole. Demonstrated professional growth through networking, and attendance at professional society meeting to maintain familiarity with new equipment and new technique.

What your background should be

Two years relevant experience required. Eligible to receive a Texas medical physics license to practice diagnostic radiologic physics. Certification in diagnostic medical physics preferred from American board of radiology. Candidate must have solid written and verbal communication skills; computer skills; the ability to work as a team player; and be self motivated.

Required Schooling / Training

Master degree in imaging physics or related field required.
