What you'll be doing

Performs and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures. Documents patient history pertains to specific procedures on requisitions submitted by physician. Confirms patient identifications by verbal confirmations and validates proof of identities. Coordinates daily activities to include performs examinations and associates clerical duties. Prepares and administers contrast media as required. Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary. Selects and operates equipment as dictated by demands of individual procedures and demonstrates correct and adequate anatomic positioning skills. Maintains appropriate records as required by departmental standards.

What your background should be

Successful completion of a formal radiology technology program in an AMA approved facility required. Registered by the ARRT required. 1 year of direct patient care work experience preferred. BLS HCP certification from AHA required. Requires strenuous physical effort while assisting patients from wheelchairs and stretchers. May be required to frequently stretch, bend, twist, squat or kneel in operating radiographic equipment.
