What you'll be doing
- Responsible for lifeguarding guests in attendance at the assigned facility. Provide maximum pool area surveillance and respond to emergencies. Rescue pool patron and administer first aid as required. Assist in maintaining pool and area clean and free from any hazard. Perform periodic water test and report result to the pool leader on duty. Provide information to swimmer regarding safety, health, admission rule, and procedure. Tactfully warn patron who repeatedly disregards safety rule and follow facility standard operating procedure for disciplinary action. Assist in coaching or preparing the competitive and non-competitive swimming program as required. Maintain daily log, report, and record as required.
What your background should be
- Experience in relevant field is required. Incumbent is required to follow environmental safeguard and wear personal protective equipment. May be assigned to irregular duties or when needed for special recreational events and related requirements. All required certifications must be kept current. Strong interpersonal skill is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skill desired.
