What you'll be doing

The client company is seeking a regional manager to oversee a portfolio of student housing properties and staff members. The candidate must have knowledge of property management operations, budget management, marketing and leasing, landlord/tenant relations, as well as maintenance & repair, construction/renovation projects and every other aspect of managing apartment projects. The candidate is responsible for direct the operations, marketing and performance of multiple communities in Michigan through site managers and other staff. Implement policies and procedures to ensure successful operations and a positive work environment. Create and manage budgets and financial operations. Produce monthly, quarterly and yearly reports. Create a strong marketing program for all properties.

What your background should be

Required minimum 5 years of relevant experience. Ability to lead a team managing a portfolio of 5 to 7 properties. Student housing experience required. Strong attention to detail, excellent leadership skills and superior organizational skills. Excellent communication skills (written/verbal) to build strong relationships with owners and vendors and satisfy the needs and concerns of residents and staff. Strong management, financial, sales, marketing and customer service background. Above average knowledge of Microsoft applications [word, excel, powerpoint and outlook] and internet explorer.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor degree.
