What you'll be doing

Responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely procurement of materials to support deployment build plans and on-going customer requirements. Manage vendor relationships by providing material forecast to tier one vendor as well as tracking vendor commitments to requested delivery dates. Manage procurement timing taking manufacturing lead time into account. Work with order management function to assure accurate procurement based on quantity and timing. Provide weekly tracking of local material requirements assessed against inventory and inbound materials. Must understand customer solution to assure material requirements are accurately forecasted and ordered. Monitor and address the performance of logistics service providers, 3PLs, carriers, and vendors, driving improvements in performance. Ensure that material partners meet or exceed customer requirements for all supply chain operations. Produce various periodic and ad-hoc reports including material forecasting, open order status, inbound shipments, and on-hand inventory. Support ERP reporting to track key process indicators (KPI) and manage business processes. Produce forecasted material requirements based on sales forecast and business plan.

What your background should be

Minimum 4 to 8 years of experience using an ERP system (SAP preferred) for all supply chain management functions. Ability to develop and maintain excellent teamwork skills, including proactive co-worker and customer working relationships at all appropriate levels, within and outside the company. Ability to provide clarification and understanding and to influence others in accepting and approving ideas and plans. Ability to manage, plan, organize, assign, schedule, and prioritize multiple work assignments and projects as directed, to achieve company objectives. High level of competency in oral, listening, and written modes of communication for persuasion and communication of technical information both internally and externally.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor degree in business.
