What you'll be doing
- RN is responsible to perform diagnostic cardiovascular study to the cardiac patient in both the outpatient and inpatient setting. Provide nurse care by assessing the patient pre procedure and assist the cardiologist in the various diagnostic cardiac test. Examples: trans esophageal echocardiogram (TEE) exercise stress test, nuclear stress test, stress echo with or without the use of contrast, dobutamine stress test and tilt table test. Administer conscious sedation and other prescribed medication or pharmacological agent during and post cardiac test. The cardiology nurse accept rotate weekend and holiday on call responsibility for the stress lab.
What your background should be
- Current FL RN license. Current BLS and ACLS certifications thru American heart association. Experience in arrhythmia analysis and cardiac anatomy. Stress lab experience preferred.
