What you'll be doing

Deliver patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care for the department specific patient population in accordance with the standard of nursing care and practice as defined by the client medical center and the kansas nurse practices act. Collaborate with other professional discipline to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcome. Support the organization vision and mission. Utilize knowledge of patient age and cultural diversity in the provision of patient care. Contribute to the provision of quality nursing care through performance improvement technique that demonstrate positive outcome in patient care.

What your background should be

Ability to utilize the nursing process in the provision of nursing care including, but not limited to, administering treatment and medication, interpreting diagnostic test, formulating a plan of care, collaborating with other health care provider and providing education to patient and significant other. Ability to work in a fast paced, high stress environment. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively. Possess personal computer skills. Ability to multi task, delegate and prioritize. Possess problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Required Schooling / Training

Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
