What you'll be doing
- Perform telephone triage. Notify physician of abnormal finding. Establish a care plan in collaboration with the patient, family, and health care team. Coordinate ongoing care. Assist with specialized diagnostic and therapeutic procedure. Assist with specialized patient care equipment as required by the clinical department and medical specialty assigned. Monitor patient response to treatment. Provide health education to patient and family. Evaluate, adapt, and document education to learning need and ability of patient or families. Assist in the preparation of the department specific education for patient and colleague. Maintain professional growth and development in the nursing field and identified annual core competency support compliance with all regulatory requirement and standard. Perform other duties as assigned.
What your background should be
- Minimum two years of recent nursing experience. Current demonstrated clinical competence. Require current state licensure as a registered nurse. Basic cardiac life support required. Require full range of motion, manual, and finger dexterity and eye hand coordination. Require corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
Required Schooling / Training
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
