What you'll be doing

Interact with patient, family, customer and utilize feedback to improve and reinforce satisfaction. Communicate a comprehensive picture of patient care and health issues at change of shift, change of assignment, or when leaving the unit. Promptly initiate the chain of command appropriately as a patient advocate for patient care and system issues. Ensure that emergency equipment is present and verified on admission and at the start of each shift, by completing unit specific safety check. Utilize policy, procedure, resource, and nursing practice to ensure safe medication delivery including offering feedback regarding system that could be strengthened to support safe medication administration. Use a systematic decision making process for delegation based upon nursing education, body of nursing knowledge, and nursing judgment to delegate in a manner that allow for safe, accountable, and responsible provision for nursing care. Must be able to perform a variety of duty, often changing from one task to another of a different nature, without loss of efficiency or composure, and be able to perform under stressful condition when confronted with multiple request.

What your background should be

Experience with pediatric patient preferred. Previous experience with elderly pharmaceutical insurance coverage preferred. Current and valid basic life support required. Certified pediatric nurse certification preferred.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelors degree from an accredited school of nursing preferred
