What you'll be doing

The registered nurse, as a professional practitioner employed by the company, assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care. This position utilizes the nursing processes to assess, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care. S/he performs focused interview to identify specific patient needs and assesses signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient condition. Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and information from health care members and documents actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses. Documents the patient plans of care using identified nursing diagnoses, expected patient outcomes, and selected nursing interventions. The candidate identifies and prioritizes actions based upon patient care requirements and monitors consistency between patient plan of care and actions of medical staff. Performs interventions according to identified priorities, plans of care, and the hospital policies and patients care outcomes standard. The incumbent provides a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic patient environment. Initiates and evaluates patient and family education. This role revises the plans of care according to evaluations, changes in medical plans of care, and effective/ineffective nursing interventions, documents patient response to nursing and other interventions. The applicant uses clinical judgment in evaluations activities to meet patients cares needs of an assigned unit/floor including establishing priorities. S/he supports professional practices by observing the uses knowledge and practices in accordance with the nurse practice act, standards of nursing practice, standards of patient care, state and local laws, patient bill of rights, and nursing client hospital policies. The RN performs other duties as assigned.

What your background should be

The successful candidate should have current registered nurse license for the state in which the nurse practices, current health certificate (per facility contract or state regulation), current PPD or chest x-ray, and current BLS card. S/he should have full command in verbal and written, of the English language. One-year prior professional nursing experience preferred. Successful completion of screening tests for the clinical specialty areas in which the RN practices with a score of 80% or greater. The incumbent may exposed to blood-borne pathogens, chemotherapeutic and toxic chemicals.
