What you'll be doing
- This position is responsible for delivery of competent, quality patient care via the implementation of the individual patient care plan. The ventilator care nurse is responsible for all aspects of the patients care including physical assessment, personal care, assistance with ADL (activities of daily living), maintenance of safe and effective ventilator management, trouble shooting ventilator problems and coordinating care with patient, family physician and the ventilator supply company. Provides encouragement, support and comfort to the patients . Responds to all emergencies as needed.
What your background should be
- Minimum 2 years experience in home care or hospital setting with previous ventilator training.
