What you'll be doing
- The registered nurse performs accurate multi system assessments, including biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self care, education needs and discharge planning needs. S/he identifies deviations from normal on routine lab diagnostic tests and reassesses patient throughout the hospitalization. Performs complete discharge assessment. The applicant develops an individual nursing plan of care. The applicant coordinates patient care activities and discharge planning with other hospital and clinical departments and community agencies. S/he develops a patient teaching plan and documents on care plan or teaching plan. Appropriately delegates patient care activities based on patients condition and scope of practice of other health care providers. The registered nurse establishes priorities for patient care and classifies the acuity level of assigned patients. Initiates appropriate measures based on the protocol for the management of the medical and surgical patient. Bases nursing care on the protocol in place for management of each patient. Accurately documents in the emr. Documents care, according to policy and procedure. S/he utilizes a multidisciplinary approach when appropriate also performs all necessary procedures correctly. Accurately calculates and administers medications. Initiates appropriate measures in emergency situations and evaluates assessment methods, plan of care and patients response to treatment and performs other duties as assigned.
What your background should be
- Nine months of experience and one to two years of o, r. Experience circulating and scrubbing required. Previous healthcare experience preferred. Cnor and acls preferred. Current oregon rn license upon hire also preferred. American heart association basic life support (bls) for healthcare providers cpr with aed. Iv and pre op area skills preferred.
Required Schooling / Training
- Bachelor degree in nursing preferred.
