What you'll be doing
- The release manager will manage the release planning & execution of a release container within the release lifecycle. The infrastructure release manager is a highly-visible, leadership position. Responsible for scheduling, planning, determining go-live readiness and successful execution of infrastructure changes and related software releases in the production services environment. Infrastructure changes include routine changes and upgrades to networking, database, storage and systems, as well as major changes to address growth and capacity. In addition to managing infrastructure releases and leading cross-functional teams, this person will drive definition and evolution of release processes and automation to optimize efficiency and quality while meeting the demands of rapid growth. Assists teams as needed to locate appropriate production service release windows; provides guidance for changes requiring SDLC testing; sets up folders, documents and spreadsheets for each release. Monitors and reports on changes coming into each release window.
What your background should be
- Minimum 5 years of overall release management experience in data center infrastructure is required. Must be willing to work evenings and weekends. Outstanding organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, including ability to work with engineers and executives. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. Flexible and able to learn quickly in a dynamic environment. Must work well within a deadline-driven environment.
